REDESIGNED AIRLINE CUTLERY AND DINNERWARE. This project is meant to reconsider the space of an airline tray and how it engages with users and food.
Cutlery ideation explored different shapes, weights, and ergonomics to bring a realistic vision of what Korean Air dinnerware could achieve.

Our design process brought us to this final thermoformed model.
Tall bowls and cups are bottom heavy to accommodate for possible spillage of hot items. The bowl is specifically design to compliment traditional Korean dishes that are often served on flights such as Bibimbap. On the far right is a dish that is meant for variable items such as salads, desert items, bread, and more.
he tray has grooves to help prevent shifting during turbulence. Handles are also conveniently placed on the tray for efficient storage on the carts.
